The Deep Darkness was a dark, ominous swamp, and you're kinda treating it like an episode of the Simpsons... I just don't think all these gags and little jokes are appropriate for the environment they're in.
Yeah, I know the enemies and characters were pretty goofy, and if you've already planned all of this out for this arc, then that's fine. I just really wish you went in a more serious, tense direction with this part of the story, like when Paula got kidnapped, the AMAZING Kraken battle, or the Pyramid arc. Just my opinion...
